Financial Stress & Ways To Deal…
If you weren't already stressed about finances, it's hard not to be these days! It seems that every day there's a new piece ofunsettling information, a scary projection from an analyst, a reminder that times are tough right now andcould get tougher soon.

It's important to keep a positive outlook in the midst of all of this, and that can be a challenge sometimes. But, as with other areas of life, financial stress management isn't all about having a lot of money. Being financially comfortable is one key to keeping financial stress under control. But money stress can bemanaged regardless of circumstances. There are some specific and effective ways of managing the stress of afinancial crisis that work:

• Cut Down On Your Debt
If you’re in debt and it causes you stress, look for things you can cut out of your budget (like the morning lattes, dining out, new clothes that you don’t need) put that toward your credit card bills. You will have something extra to value besides the material things: financial freedom and peace of mind!

• Trade Old Stuff For New Experiences
You should consider having a garage sale or selling items on eBay if you have too much ‘stuff’, and going on a vacation with your family, or doing something else that would create positive memories, enrich your life, and help you do away with stress.

• Be Smart With Spending
Before you go out and buy something new for the house or clothes. Ask yourself if you REALLY need it, or is it just going to add clutter to the house or closet. After all, spending less can reduce stress.

Flu Medication: What Works?
It’s that time of year again. Time for falling leaves, icy snow -- and the flu. With fall and winter comes flu season, so it’s time to think about how to protect yourself and your family.

The most important tool to protect yourself from the flu, is to get an annual flu vaccine. You should make your appointment to get the vaccine now, but if you don’t get vaccinated before Thanksgiving, there’s still time to do it.

Two antiviral medications have been approved to both prevent and treat the flu in the U.S. sold under the brand names Tamiflu and Relenza.

Sometimes, of course, both medications and vaccines aren’t enough to prevent the flu. In that case, what medicines are available to treat your symptoms?

Here are three things you should do:
• Get plenty of rest.
• Drink plenty of fluids.
• Relieve some of your fever and aches with acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin).

“The flu is going to have its way with you,” So recognize you’re ill, stay home, and take care of yourself.
